I almost had a nervous breakdown last week when I found out my car needed a new transmission (4 months after the 5 year warranty expired). That on top of the fact it needs new tires. I told the kids they were all getting tires and a transmission for Christmas - they didn't think I was funny..... but I didn't think the situation was very funny either.
Fortunately for us the dealer contacted the manufacturer who is still going to cover it (minus a deductible of a couple hundred dollars) so the kids may get more than a tire for Christmas!
