It needs no plumbing changes, needs no salt and requires a conventional water softener. Eddy makes a complex electromagnetic wave that is set on the two coils around your water supply pipe. So water is subjected to an ever-changing magnetic field because it goes through the coils.http://www.ewaterpurifier.com/eddy-electronic-water-descaler-review/Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03725599157326889000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-307291775934328855.post-10710405643765972512017-06-02T14:17:07.340-07:002017-06-02T14:17:07.340-07:00Anyone decided on the Calmat instead of this? You'll still get the benefit of softened water anywhere you're using hot water--the dishwasher, clothes washer on hot or warm water loads, and in your shower. You won't have to worry about the health effects of drinking softened water, and if your outdoor faucets aren't upstream of the softener, you won't have to worry about wasting soft water washing your car, watering your garden, etc.Bullriderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01011298563098192468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-307291775934328855.post-40410895664234552412017-01-01T22:27:15.740-08:002017-01-01T22:27:15.740-08:00Hi Bob,
